CCD is going to Big Church Day Out... At Capesthorne Hall next 31 May - 3 June.
We've been granted an extended time to camp ahead of the event to spend time with our Salt and Light Sphere - Synergy. We are so excited to be going together as we spend time with one another and in God's presence.
Big Church Day Out is a Christian music festival over three days in two locations across the UK. We are excited to be able to join with other churches and streams for some of the best Christian rock, contemporary worship music, gospel and Christian rap as well as being able to be together as the Synergy Sphere of churches.
Through the Synergy booking link we’re able to offer the early bird prices all year round as well as have an extended time together with arrival on Thursday 31st May and a morning meeting just for us on Sunday 3rd June.
We look forward to seeing you there...

Thy Kingdom Come is a global prayer movement, which invites Christians around the world to pray between Ascension and Pentecost for more people to come to know Jesus Christ.
The hope is that:
- people will commit to pray with God’s world-wide family - as a church, individually or as a family;
- churches will hold prayer events, such as 24-7 prayer, prayer stations and prayer walks, across the UK and in other parts of the world;
- people will be empowered through prayer by the Holy Spirit, finding new confidence to be witnesses for Jesus Christ.
There are many arenas in life and we may face uncertainties or difficulties that can test our integrity, resilience and character. We must prepare ourselves for these challenges so that we can ‘run with perseverance the race marked out for us’ (Hebrew 12:1 NIV). Join Rob Parsons and Gerrit Bantjes at our men’s event In the Arena to be equipped with practical strategies to withstand the challenges of life.

If you have questions like this, then the Alpha Supper is a great way to see what the Alpha Course is all about! The evening will include a meal, a 'taster session' presentation and time to meet the Alpha Team leaders.
The Alpha Supper is an ideal evening to bring friends and family along to, who may be considering attending the Alpha Course. It also gives those that have completed the Alpha Course the opportunity to bring friends and family along.
Every six months here at CCD we run a series of events to help you understand who we are as a church and how you can better connect with what God is doing here and amongst us.
Also it is a chance for you to get to know the leadership team a bit more, and for us to get to know a bit more about you.
The course runs over 4 sessions and covers the following topics:
- Our Community
- Our Vision
- Leadership & Discipleship
- Playing Your Part.
We will be running one session a week at 12-30pm after the Sunday morning service on the 22nd & 29th April and the 13th & 20th May, with a light lunch provided.

Join us during Advent as we consider how our December lives and witness can be shaped by the patterns of the beginning of Jesus’ life and ministry, as presented in the Gospel of Mathew. We’ll look at how these contrast with those of Western culture at Christmastime as we prepare to celebrate God’s greatest gift and ask ourselves - how can we be distinct but not distant?
